Materials Engineering, Inc., is a small but growing engineering company, free from most
of the headaches of corporate America. We offer diverse, interesting and challenging

We are experiencing significant growth and are expanding our staff to support this growth.

We have the following positions open:

Metallurgical Engineer
Junior Level

Responsibilities
• Assist and conduct failure analysis on a diverse blend of products and materials
• Assist senior staff in working with customers resolving
manufacturing and processing problems
• Direct and conduct laboratory testing of materials and components

The Qualified Applicant will Possess
• Minimum of BS in Metallurgical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering
• Desire to learn and work on new things and new challenges
• Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
• General knowledge and exposure to a wide range of material systems
• Exposure to failure analysis techniques and practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with laboratory analytical equipment and techniques
• Hands on experience in laboratory techniques is a plus
• Exposure to materials processing and manufacturing
• Ability to interface with customers

Metallurgical/Materials Engineer
Senior Level

Responsibilities
• Conduct failure analysis on a diverse blend of products and materials
• Work with customers resolving manufacturing and processing problems
• Direct laboratory testing of materials and components

The Qualified Applicant will Possess
• Minimum of BS in Metallurgical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering
• Extensive knowledge and experience with all material system especially ferrous
• Experience in failure analysis with wide range of products and materials
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with laboratory analytical equipment and techniques
• Hands on experience with materials processing and manufacturing
• Ability to manage projects and interface with customers
• Hands on experience in SEM and metallography is a plus
• Experience in product design and materials selection is a plus
• Experience with ISO 17025 Quality Systems is a plus
• Experience with polymers, coatings and lubricants is a plus
